DraftKings is reinforcing its responsible gaming initiatives as part of Problem Gambling Awareness Month, rolling out new programs, renewing key funding efforts, and launching a national advertising campaign to encourage safer play.
Strengthening State Council Support
The company is extending its State Council Funding Program, an initiative that has funneled more than $2 million into problem gambling resources since 2022. This year alone, DraftKings will distribute over $500,000 to 34 state gambling councils—including in states where it doesn’t operate.
That money is making a real difference:
- California Council on Problem Gambling used the funds to develop an AI-powered helpline report and launched howtoexclude.org, a potential national model for self-exclusion resources.
- Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gambling upgraded facilities at CORE, a free treatment center.
- Maryland Council on Problem Gambling expanded its outreach with a fresh marketing campaign.
- North Carolina Council on Problem Gambling strengthened its educational tools and outreach efforts.
These investments show DraftKings is focusing on long-term solutions rather than short-term optics.
My Stat Sheet: A Year of Personalized Insights
One of DraftKings’ standout responsible gaming tools, My Stat Sheet, is marking its first anniversary with expanded features. Launched in 2024, it has already provided 13 million players with detailed insights into their gaming habits.
This tool breaks down:
- Time spent playing
- Deposits & withdrawals over time
- Wager history including net wins or losses
- Product-specific insights (Sportsbook, Casino, Daily Fantasy)
Now, updates allow for more in-depth tracking, particularly around financial activity, giving players even greater transparency about their habits.
National Advertising Push for Responsible Play
DraftKings isn’t stopping at funding and player tools—it’s also taking its responsible gaming message to the masses. The company has launched a national responsible gaming advertising campaign, aimed at promoting safer gambling practices.
